Performance design · LED & illuminated costume concepts

LED Performance Costume Concept Design for Artists, Dancers & Stage.

Digital concept development for performers and productions that need illuminated costumes to work visually on camera and practically around movement. The design process considers silhouette, LED placement, material zones, cable paths, articulation areas, controller access and the relationship between costume, choreography and stage lighting.

Design scope

From visual idea to fabrication-ready direction.

  • Full-body performance outfit concepts
  • LED pixel, flexible LED, EL-wire and diffused-light placement studies
  • Multi-view costume boards for front, side and rear communication
  • 3D-printed or structured housing concepts for illuminated components
  • Stage-look and camera-readability direction
  • Color, material and performer-movement planning
Practical design considerations

Movement comes before decoration.

  • Keep wiring away from high-torsion and high-compression zones where possible
  • Allow flex loops, strain relief and service access near moving joints
  • Plan controller, battery and connector locations around mobility and weight distribution
  • Use modular light panels or removable sections where maintenance is likely
  • Consider ventilation, heat, insulation and performer comfort during fabrication

CN Studio provides concept and visual design. Final electrical load, battery selection, insulation, heat management, fastening and physical safety must be validated by the qualified fabricator or electronics/costume specialist building the finished garment.

Technical & performance portfolio

Costume boards, full-body looks and stage integration.

The examples below show a broader design workflow: performer views, technical turnarounds and stage concepts, rather than only close fashion imagery.
